• Poker Review: Poker Stars Review

Poker Stars is now the biggest online poker room with the number of players online regularly reaching over one hundred thousand!

With such a large number of loyal players, Poker Stars doesn't really need to offer deposit bonuses to new players - but they do anyway!

And even better, in August 2009 they increased their first deposit bonus to a tasty $600.

Use the new Poker Stars deposit bonus code First600 when you sign up for a new account and you will get a 100% deposit match bonus up to a maximum of $600.

You will need to generate 17 frequent player points for each bonus dollar. You collect player points simply by playing poker at the poker stars tables. Your bonus will show as 'pending' in your cashier account until the needed points are collected, then it will be released automatically in increments of $10 as soon as you have earned enough FPPs.

Couldn't be easier to get the bonus from Poker Stars. And what's more, Poker Stars continues to accept players from the USA!

Remember, use Poker Stars Bonus Code Stars600

  • The UIGEA

What is it? Well, the UIGEA is the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act that was enacted in October 2006 as part of the Safe Ports Act.

In brief, the UIGEA does NOT make playing online poker illegal; in fact, it does not make any online gambling illegal. What it does make illegal is the transfer, by a BANK, of funds to an internet gaming business.

The reaction by the online poker and online casinos business has been mixed. Some sites have stopped serving the market completely. Some have remained in the market with a 'business as usual' attitude.

Remember, it is NOT illegal to play online poker - at least, not yet.

  • Bodog Poker Review

  • Bodog Poker is one of the top online poker rooms and continues to grow and provide players with a high quality playing experience daily since their release in 2004.

Bodog is one of the few big sites that are open to players from the U.S. Some of the loosest tables and best guaranteed tournaments can be found at this room.

Bodog sends hundreds of players to big tournaments such as the WSOP and WPT. You can win entry into the weekly $100,000 guaranteed tournament via daily satellites starting at $1.

Overall Bodog Poker is a great place to play poker for a wide variety of players and continues to set the standard for reliability, quality of play and customer service. They are also a regulated poker room with a license held in Costa Rica where operations are based.

The thing that sets Bodog apart, and in most cases above other poker sites is the loose-passiveness at the tables.

Bodog has many new and in-experienced players that come from the online casinos and sports betting side of the company.

The Texas Holdem tables in general are usually very easy and very beatable. Bodog is one of the fastest growing online poker rooms so you won't have any trouble finding a table with a majority of novice players.
